モノクロ写真って(当然)白と黒の二色しかないわけで,色でのごまかしはほとんどきかない.というわけで大体の場合は構図で勝負となるわけです.
それにしたって白黒でサマになる構図とならない構図があるわけで,例えば紅葉とかって,よっぽど意表を突くような構図でも無い限り,まず見栄えはしません.
そんな(ヘタクソにとっては)被写体を選ぶモノクロ写真ですが,レトロなものとか雑多なものは陳腐な構図でも比較的マトモに見えます.そういうわけで,最近モノクロ撮影に疲れてしまったので,簡単な被写体を求めて近所の川越に行って参りました.

今回持参したモノクロフィルムは,イルフォード HP5+ 400,富士フイルム ネオパンアクロス100,ローライ RETRO 400S.
一番味があるのは RETRO 400S でしょうか.このフィルムは階調がやや薄くレトロなかんじに撮れることをウリにしているので,そこらへんがマッチしたような気がしています.
きれいさはやっぱり ISO100 なネオパン100ですな.イルフォードHP5+はどちらかというとネオパンに近いやや階調豊かな柔らかい感じですが,ISO400なぶんちょっと汚め.
勉強になった〜.
